Dark Peak

The Dark Peak in the northern area of the Peak District National Park is a fantastically beautiful Mountain Bike Playground which will fully test your skills and fitness levels. Summits reach 636 meters asl so climbs can be long and hard but the reward is some of the best natural descents in the UK. Trails are rocky, flowy and and a real test of body and Bike. Varying options are listed below to wet your appetite and custom days can be catered for or combinations of what’s stated below. Alternatively if you have some specific ideas let me know. We are flexible but we don’t do Yoga (yet)!!!

Houndkirk Moor & Stanage Edge:

Meeting point – Fox House Inn, Hathersage

Trails covered – Lady Cannings Flow Trails, Stanage Edge Plantation, Devils Elbow.

Max difficulty level – Blue/Red

Weather – All seasons

Ladybower Reservoir Classics:

Meeting point – The Fisheries CP, Bamford

Trails covered – The Beast, Hagg Side, Lockerbrooke, Derwent Edge.

Max difficulty level – Red/Black

Weather – Spring and Summer

Kinder Scout:

Meeting Point – Visitors Centre CP, Castleton

Trails covered – Hollins Cross, Jacobs Ladder, Cavedale.

Max Difficulty level – Black

Weather – All seasons

Cut Gate:

Meeting Point – Fairholmes Visitor Centre CP, Ladybower Rsvr.

Trails covered – Lockerbrooke, Margery Hill, Cutgate.

Max Difficulty level – Red/Black

Weather – Spring and Summer
